When asked about her job, Judge Berry will tell you, "The most rewarding aspect of
my work, is the privilege of presiding over jury trials with my fellow citizens. The jury
trial system is the embodiment of what our founding fathers envisioned for the justice
system. I tell the jurors they are the most important people in the courtroom because
they bring their common sense, collective wisdom and community spirit into the courtrooms
of America. Jurors are the Judges of the facts and I am the Judge of the law and together
we are the team of justice. I never cease to be amazed at the brilliance and dedication
jurors bring to the court system. I consider it an honor and a privilege every time I
preside over a jury trial."
