Community outreach and legal education has always been of interest to Judge Berry.
In 1995 she was asked to co-host a weekly television show dedicated to educating the
public about the justice system. Judge Berry, along with her co-host, attorney Robert
Perry, produced and directed a one half hour talk show with guests from all sectors of
the justice system. Topics included Wills and Estates, Death Penalty, Women in Prison,
Juvenile Crime, Elder Abuse, Domestic Violence, Military Tribunals, Domestic Terrorism,
Personal Injury Law, How to Hire a Lawyer, Social Security Disability, Crimes Against
Children, Secret Witness, and a host of other topics. The Language of Law aired on the
Sierra Nevada Cable Access channel weekly and was the recipient of the W.A.V.E. award
for quality public education television programming. In addition to filming a weekly
television show, Judge Berry also worked with the Washoe County Bar Association to create
an annual television show called Law Day Live, in celebration of Law Day. Lawyers from the
Washoe County Bar participated in a live, three hour television show which provided free
legal information to viewers who called in.
