Judge Berry serves on a number of community boards and advisory committees. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Reno and a former member of the Truckee Meadows Community College Advisory Board. Judge Berry has worked closely with Nevada Hispanic Services to improve communication in our court system. She worked with volunteers from the Hispanic community who translated court documents from English to Spanish. She established a Spanish speaking hotline at the Reno Municipal Court, so citizens could effectively communicate with court personnel.

Judge Berry had many mentors in her life, and knows the importance of making educational opportunities available to students. She has provided student internship positions to various high schools in the Washoe County School District, college students attending the University of Nevada Reno, and law students. Several student interns work with Judge Berry every year. She enjoys the students' energy, enthusiasm and quest for knowledge. Some of her student interns have returned to serve as her law clerks.
