In 1993, Judge Berry received the Truckee Meadows Human Service Award as Politician of the Year. Approximately two years later, in 1995, Judge Berry was honored with the Reno Business and Professional Women's Woman of the Year Award. She was the recipient of the Nevada District Judges Association Distinguished Jurist Education Award in 2000. She also was presented with a faculty service award from the National Judicial College in 2000.

In January of 2000, Judge Berry was elected Chief Judge of the Second Judicial District Court and served for a two-year term, ending in December of 2001. She also serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Judicial College.
